The hotel employees were very nice and very helpful. They took us to various places whenever we asked. Their meals were delicious. We loved the Villa they gave us. The rooms were pleasantly different from what we were used to. For visitors who do not like crawly bugs or lizards, this is not for them. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. I would highly recommend Waka Namya Resort & Spa to any vacationer.

Waka Namya is a very charming small hotel in a great location just outside Ubud. It would benefit enormously from a lick of pain especially in the bedrooms. The air conditioners are not that powerful and need servicing.
Staff very friendly and would certainly consider going on the next trip

For an expensive hotel the cleanliness was not up to scratch. The bathroom was filthy, it was obvious that it hadn't been properly cleaned in some time.
On our final day one of the staff told us he would take us to our bus pick-up point, however when another family that was still booked in turned up wanting a shuttle into Ubud he suddenly forgot about us and left without even an apology. We had to lug our big bags all the way down the hill without any sidewalks and were just in time for our bus to the airport. After staying in a wonderful Villa in Seminyak I was extremely disappointed with Waka Namya Resort.

We have specially appreciated the architecture and style of the
different parts of the hotel, the swimming pools,and the location,
close to the center of Ubud, but remote enough to provide a very
quiet atmosphere.

Very friendly staff. Nice swimming pools. Not so pleasant, a few mosquitoes. We were a bit disappointed upon arrival as the description of the hotel room on the website was misleading. We were expecting 2 rooms (communicating rooms) when booking the Deluxe Lanai room (for 2 adults and 1 child), unfortunately when we arrived it turned out that this was only one room. We had to squeeze an extra bed in the room and this one was therefore not under the mosquitoe net (no protection).
However, as the whole, our stay at Waka Namya has been enjoyable.

The ad was abit misleading, it was advertised online that the rooms come with TV but when we reached there, we were told that only selected rooms had TV and we had to upgrade and pay an extra USD 20 per nite if we wanted a room with TV. I think this should be made clear on the website to be fair to consumers. Other than that, it was good value (we had the 1 nite free promo) but I would not stay there at it usual rates. Its overpriced at usual rates.

Great place to stay. Close enough to all the key places in and around Ubud but secluded enough to ensure peace and quiet during the day and night. It is my number one place I automatically think of when I plan a stay in Ubud. They also have made a big effort on the food front.
